Menteri Kanan Ismail Saabri Yaakob berkata, kerajaan masih menutup pintu sempadan, termasuk melarang kemasukan pelancong dan pekerja asing kecuali ekspatriat kategori EP1.

“Sabah benar pekerja asing China ini tidak pernah bincang dalam Mesyuarat Khas Nenteri dan MKN. Di bawah Akta 342 kita masih tutup pintu sempadan kepada warga asing, terutama melibatkan pelancong, begitu juga pekerja asing. Sabah dilapor membenarkan semua perjalanan masuk ke negeri itu sama ada melalui udara, darat dan laut kepada pekerja warga asing dari China yang mempunyai permit kerja.Bagaimanapun, pekerja asing dari China dikehendaki menjalani ujian Covid-19 di tempat masing-masing sebelum masuk ke Sabah dan disahkan bebas Covid-19.

“Kita hanya benarkan pelajar warga asing yang sudah berada di kampus dan disahkan negatif Covid-19 bersembahyang di masjid dalam kampus. “Akta 342 tidak melarang warga tua dan kanak-kanak berkunjung ke tempat awam seperti kompleks beli-belah dan sebagainya.
