LIVERPOOL, England (Reuters) -Holders Liverpool punched their return ticket to Wembley and a League Cup final against Newcastle United after a 4-0 rout, and 4-1 aggregate victory, over a toothless Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield on Thursday.
KUALA LUMPUR: The three-decade monopoly by the Computerised Vehicle Inspection Centre will come to an end today, says Anthony Loke .
“I will be announcing the names of the companies which were given the approval to operate the vehicle inspection centres. On the alleged use of “cosmetic agents” who provide “services” such as tyre rentals to allow heavy vehicles to obtain Puspakom inspection approval, Loke acknowledged that there were loopholes in the law which were being exploited.
“The rented tyres are later removed after Puspakom approval with the old tyres refitted to the vehicle,” he said.“How can the ministry or Road Transport Department take action against these tyre shops when it does not have the power to do so?” he asked.“But KPDN must have the regulations or provisions to take action against tyre shops that rent out their tyres for vehicle inspection purposes.Loke said his ministry would cooperate with KPDN and relevant agencies to plug the loopholes.
