Puregold price club books P6.6B net income in 9 months

PUREGOLD Price Club Inc.’s net income in the first nine months rose by 2.1 percent year on year to P6.6 billion. For the period, topline growth was partially offset by compressed margins and higher operating expenses. It logged a consolidated revenue of P139.

3 billion in the first nine months of 2023, up 9.2 percent from P127.6 billion in the same period last year. From January to September, the enterprise experienced positive same-store sales growth of 4.8 percent from Puregold Stores and 4.1 percent from S&R Warehouse clubs driven primarily by higher traffic.
