PUTRAJAYA: The public is reminded not to publish any pictures of children involved in criminal proceedings in the media, says Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said of the Child Act 2001 which could result in criminal charges.

"Violation of this provision may result in criminal charges. We need to put our trust in the law and the due process when dealing with cases involving children," she said. The case gained a lot of attention when a one-minute-49-second video showing a woman restraining a Perodua Viva car driven by a teenage boy with two children inside went viral last month.
