Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim announced a 13% salary increase for public sector employees effective December 1, 2024. The adjustments will vary by job category, with executive, management, and professional groups receiving a 15% increase and the highest management group receiving a 7% increase. CUEPACS, the Congress of Unions of Employees in the Public and Civil Services, advises public servants to avoid taking on unnecessary loans due to the salary increase.

Menjawab tentang pandangan beliau mengenai 1,400 penjawat awam yang memilih untuk menolak opsyen SSPA, Abdul Rahman berkata ia adalah satu perkara yang tidak boleh dielakkan.Peminjam Terbeban Dengan Bayaran Bulanan Pinjaman Perumahan Terdahulu, Pensyarah Program Pengurusan Harta Tanah dan Lelongan, Fakulti Perniagaan, Universiti Malaya-Wales , Prof. Dr. Noor Rosly Hanif mendedahkan 10% daripada rakyat Malaysia sukar membayar balik pinjaman rumah.
