The Presidential Task Force on Media Security signed two new agreements with the Public Attorney’s Office to improve the welfare of journalists and provide them more legal protection.

“Our sitting together with PAO to sign these agreements today is a clear message that the administration of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is serious in promoting not only the welfare but also in protecting the life, liberty and security of all media workers thru a whole-of-government approach,” Gutierrez said in a statement.

Among those being eyed to serve as speakers in the summit are Presidential Communication Office Secretary Cheloy Velicaria-Garafil, Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla and PAO Chief Persidida Acosta.
