Defender Mzwanele Mahashe has confirmed that he has left DStv Premiership club TS Galaxy.

Mahashe signed an 18-month contract when he joined Galaxy in January from Royal AM, but things have not quite gone according plan since then. Game-time was hard to come by during the second half of last season under head coach Sead Ramovic and it now appears as though his time at the club has come to an end.

"I am no longer with the team. As things stand, we came to an agreement to part ways amicably a week ago. It look longer than expected. I can safely say I am free to join any team," the 34-year-old defender told the Siya crew. Galaxy, meanwhile, are looking to bounce back after they suffered their first defeat of the season. They were beaten 1-0 by Cape Town City last weekend, but are determined to get points when they face Orlando Pirates in Soweto on Saturday afternoon.
