Sony has announced on the official PlayStation Blog that the PS Plus subscription prices are getting hiked starting 16 April.
Price hikes are never popular, but it looks like PlayStation has announced another round for the prices of its PS Plus subscription. The last one happened on 6 September 2023, and the next one is scheduled for 16 April, according to a post on the PlayStation Blog.
Currently, the 1-month prices for the PS Plus Essential, Extra and Deluxe subscriptions are priced at RM32, RM49 and RM55 respectively, Next week, they will be hiked up to RM35, RM55 and RM65 respectively. In the same vein, the current prices for the 3-month subscription is RM75, RM125 and RM145 respectively will be increased to RM95, RM155 and RM185.Finally, the 1-year PS Plus subscription prices are currently at RM235, RM400 and RM460.
The good news is, if you have an active PS Plus subscription, these won't take immediate effect. Instead, you'll only have to pay the new rates on your next billing cycle, if they happen to be on or after 24 June. If you don't already have an active subscription, or you make any changes to your active subscription after 16 April like extending, upgrading or downgraded, then you'll have to pay the new rates once.
