Mobile phone networks that don’t enforce security protocols will have to reimburse victims of certain phishing scams – a ruling that already applies to financial institutions.
KUALA LUMPUR: An Opposition MP wants to know if there is any guarantee that the increase in sales and service tax from 6% to 8% will not result in a corresponding increase in prices of necessities.
On Oct 13, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced that a number of tax reforms would be implemented next year to expand the country's revenue base. On Tuesday , Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said that it would be more efficient, transparent and fair to reintroduce the goods and services tax instead.
