PolicyStreet, a Malaysian insurtech company, is offering free road tax for owners of selected Proton and Perodua models who renew their car insurance through their platform. The promotion, running until February 28, 2025, also provides discounts of up to 70% on road tax for other car models.
PolicyStreet, a Malaysia n insurtech company, has introduced a free road tax initiative to ease the financial burden on car owners, particularly those driving Proton and Perodua vehicles. The promotion, part of PolicyStreet's Betul-Betul FREE Road Tax campaign, will be available until 28 February 2025. The campaign offers free road tax to owners of selected models who renew their car insurance through PolicyStreet. Eligible vehicles include the Perodua Axia, Bezza, Proton Saga, and Iriz.
For other car models, PolicyStreet provides discounts of up to 70% on road tax. Using PolicyStreet's platform, customers can compare insurance quotes from up to 12 providers or choose from five trusted insurers. Once eligible Proton and Perodua owners select their coverage, the road tax cost will be automatically waived at checkout. In addition, the company offers a 0% interest Easy Payment Plan, allowing users to spread their insurance payments over a period of three, six, or 12 months. This plan is supported by nine major banks, including Maybank, CIMB Bank, and Public Bank, making car insurance more affordable and accessible. However, PolicyStreet's campaign has some criteria. According to PolicyStreet's Terms and Conditions, cars used for e-hailing, Natural Gas Vehicle (NGV), or commercial purposes, those with outstanding summonses, or those whose road tax expired over three years ago are not eligible
