Proton's first electric vehicle, the e.MAS 7, has exceeded expectations with over 2,500 bookings, highlighting the growing interest in sustainable mobility in Malaysia.
Pro-Net, a subsidiary of national automaker Proton , announced that its first electric vehicle (EV), Proton e.MAS 7, has recorded over 2,500 bookings. This remarkable achievement reflects the growing enthusiasm among Malaysians for sustainable mobility and signifies high demand for the Proton e.MAS 7. Zhang Qiang, Chief Executive Officer of Pro-Net, said that the strong interest shown by Malaysians towards the Proton e.MAS 7 demonstrates their readiness to embrace sustainable mobility.
'With its innovative features and exceptional value, the Proton e.MAS 7 is designed to be the ideal choice for those looking to transition to electric vehicles,' he said in a statement. 'This EV marks a significant step forward, not only for PROTON but also for the future of green automotive in Malaysia,' he added. According to him, the Proton e.MAS 7, Malaysia's first national EV, continues to attract attention due to its innovation and value, offering two variants, Prime and Premium, powered by batteries with capacities of 49.52 kWh and 60.22 kWh respectively. 'With a WLTP range of up to 410 kilometers, this EV supports AC 11kW charging and fast DC charging of up to 100kW,' he said. 'The On-the-Road (excluding insurance) price for the Proton e.MAS 7 is RM109,800 for the Prime variant and RM123,800 for the Premium variant,' he added. He further mentioned that as a special launch offer for the first 3,000 customers, a rebate of RM4,000 is given, making the price of the Prime variant RM105,800 and the Premium variant RM119,800.-UTUSA

Proton eMas 7 Officially Launched as Malaysia's First Production EVProton has officially launched the eMas 7, its first production electric SUV.
