Prosecution withdraws appeal to forfeit monies from 9 entities linked to 1MDB funds

The prosecution says the government has returned forfeited monies to the 9 entities allegedly linked to 1Malaysia Development Bhd funds. - Finance Ministry pic, February 7, 2023.

The Court of Appeal had also ruled against the prosecution and set aside a High Court decision that had allowed it to forfeit monies seized from the Pahang Umno Liaison Committee. The court also said there was absence of any link whatsoever between the monies in the bank accounts of the respondents and the funds allegedly misappropriated from IMDB.
