The proposal to amend the Whistleblower Protection Act 2010 (Act 711), which includes the mechanism for centralized receipt of complaints of misconduct, is scheduled to be presented in the Dewan Rakyat this year, according to Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Law and Institutional Reform), Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said.

She said that this initiative by the MADANI Government aims to combat abuse of power, corruption, and integrity violations, especially in public and private organizations. The proposed amendments to Act 711 involve the establishment of a specialized centralized agency with specific training and procedures for handling whistleblower protection and resolving all matters related to Act 711
