The US Embassy in Manila is now accepting applicants for its program that aims to personalize mentorship for Filipinos wanting to admit in American universities.

The embassy said it is now inviting senior high school students, particularly those in Grade 11, to join the 2023 US Embassy College Prep Program.The initiative offers “extensive advising and resources for prospective students, including an in-person summer application boot camp, Scholastic Aptitude Test and American College Test training, and guidance on selecting college programs and scholarships,” it said.

Filipino senior high school students with family annual income of less than P1.25 million are eligible to apply. They must have excellent grades, active participation in extracurricular activities and leadership potential, the embassy added. The application will run for 18 months and will be held virtually. Applications must be submitted on or before February 10, 2023 through the following link: https://educationusaph.org/CollegePrepProgram-Application.So far, two out of the 11 students have received full scholarships to their top college choice while others have been accepted to American colleges under partial scholarships.
