ILOILO CITY – With the start of the filing of Certificates of Candidacy (COCs) for the barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) elections next week, security preparations are underway across Western Visayas region.
Atty. Dennis Ausan, regional director of the Commission on Elections -6, led the Regional Joint Security Coordinating Center special meeting this week.
The RJSCC-6 aims to safeguard and maintain peace for the BSKE in Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Guimaras, Iloilo, and Negros Occidental provinces as well as the highly urbanized cities of Iloilo and Bacolod.
