The applicant went on to request any records the Saskatoon Fire Department had on them, or any of their homes, since 2018. The city came back with a response on March 30, identifying 219 pages of records that fit the parameters of the applicant’s search. The city released 175 of them in full, and held back parts of 44 remaining pages. The city also informed the applicant that no records existed for “statistics relating to posters.”
The applicant appealed in April to the information and privacy commissioner, alleging the city didn’t conduct an adequate search for records, and questioning the grounds on which records were withheld.
