Princess Beatrice has given birth to a baby girl, Buckingham Palace announced this morning.
“So delighted to share the news of the safe arrival of our daughter on Saturday 18th September 2021, at 23.42, at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, London. Thank you to the Midwife team and everyone at the hospital for their wonderful care,” she wrote.
An official statement released by Buckingham Palace echoed the same sentiment. “Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are delighted to announce the safe arrival of their daughter on Saturday 18th September 2021, at 23.42, at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, London. The baby weighs 6 pounds and 2 ounces. The new baby’s grandparents and great-grandparents have all been informed and are delighted with the news.
Members of the royal family quickly shared their congratulations with Charles, the Prince of Wales, and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, “Congratulations to Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi on the happy news of the birth of their daughter.” The infant is the Queen’s twelfth great-grandchild and the second grandchildren for Beatrice’s parents, the Duke and Duchess of York.
