Princess Anne is the “ultimate spare” who has made things work and is able to have the best of both worlds, Hello! Magazine Royal Editor Emily Nash says.

She said it does not have to be a “bad ending” for the spare, with Princess Anne one of the most popular members of the Royal Family.

“She carries out her duties impeccably, but she is also able to have more of a private life I would say than other members of the family,” she told Sky News host Paul Murray. “She doesn’t court the media, she doesn’t love the media attention but she gets on with the job and she is hugely represented.”
