Kate Middleton and Prince William officially began their tour of the Caribbean after the trip got off to a complicated start due to an anti-colonialist protest over the weekend.

Instead of the original farm they planned to visit, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge stopped by the family-run Che'il Mayan Cacao Farm and Chocolate Factory in Maya Center Village, touring the farm and learning about the process of turning raw cacao into Mayan chocolate.
On Sunday, the royal couple had to cancel their planned excursion to a different cocoa farm, Akte’il Ha, located near the village of Indian Creek in the foothills of the Maya Mountains after villagers staged an anti-colonialist demonstration and blocked the use of a football field where the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were meant to land their helicopter., the chairman of Indian Creek village, said, “We don’t want them to land on our land, that’s the message that we want to send.
