KULAI: There is a pressing need to empower and encourage more young women to get involved in politics, says Wanita MCA national chairman Wong You Fong.
Wong said that the party’s women's wing would look into ways and plan suitable programmes to attract more women, especially those who were 30 and below, to join the party.
"As part of our rejuvenation process, we have come out with a post called U40 at the state, division and branch level. "Unfortunately, we are realising that there are some branches that do not have enough people to take up this post," said Wong, who is also Johor Wanita MCA chief.
