KOTA KINABALU: The Gabungan Rakyat Sabah government must not underestimate the voice of the people, especially as public concern grows over key issues affecting the state's administration, says Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin .

The Lamag assemblyman stressed that the upcoming state assembly sitting next week should not be treated as a routine event. He said this would be a vital platform for open and responsible debate as it may be the last sitting before the state election."Issues related to investments, economic agreements, management of land and mineral resources and major development projects involving large sums of money must be scrutinised transparently," said Bung Moktar in a statement on Saturday .

Bung Moktar, who is also the Sabah Barisan Nasional and state Umno chief, urged GRS leaders to respond with facts and data if there is nothing to hide. "All questions troubling the people must be raised in the assembly. If the government has done no wrong, prove it.
