La Fundación Nobel, que administra los prestigiosos premios homónimos, dio marcha atrás en su política de invitaciones y ha convidado a Rusia, Bielorrusia e Irán, además de al líder de un partido sueco de ultraderecha, que antes estaban vetados.

Según Vidar Helgesen, director ejecutivo de la fundación privada, existe una tendencia global en la que el “se está reduciendo el diálogo entre aquellos con distintos puntos de vista”.

El año pasado, los enviados diplomáticos de Rusia y Bielorrusia fueron vetados en las lujosas ceremonias de premiación y banquetes, que tienen lugar el 10 de diciembre, debido a la guerra en Ucrania. El embajador de Irán quedó excluido por “la grave situación” en la República Islámica.

Los líderes de los partidos políticos suecos suelen estar invitados al banquete, pero Akesson, que dirige un partido nacionalista de raíces ultraderechistas, fue ignorado en el pasado.
