We check out some of the early contenders and predictions for the FIFA22 Team of the Week! 👀 Take a look! ➡️
Last week, no player from the Premier League made the FIFA Team of the Week, however that could change when the new stars are revealed.
Goalkeepers Manuel Neuer and Sergio Herrera made the previous FIFA22 TOTW, after starring in the Bundesliga and Spanish LaLiga respectively. Barcelona and Paris Saint Germain defenders Jordi Alba and Danilo Pereira also made the team as standout performers. After Senegal’s triumph at the Africa Cup of Nations, Napoli star Kalidou Koulibaly featured in the FIFA22 TOTW defence after shining for his national team in their memorable tournament. That being said, the Premier League played out to a number of tasty fixtures this past weekend, namely where clubs such as Liverpool, Everton and Newcastle were involved.
Portuguese star Diogo Jota netted a brace against Leicester last week, While Donny van de Beek was a star performer for Everton against Leeds. The Dutch midfielder, who is on loan from Manchester United, pulled the strings the middle of the park and put on a fine display as a player who desperately needed game time.
Also, Kai Havertz was one of Chelsea’s star men in their recent FIFA Club World Cup trophy win and could well have thrown his name in the hat of contenders.
