The Court of Appeal has dismissed independent preacher Wan Ji Wan Hussin’s appeal against his conviction for sedition but restored the jail sentence imposed by the sessions court.
This came about after the Court of Appeal dismissed his final appeal against conviction, but allowed the session’s court sentence to be reinstated. Wan Ji, who was also a former aide to then Penang chief minister Lim Guan Eng, had been on bail pending the outcome of his appeal.
