A dominant victory over the Storm has seen the Sea Eagles shoot up seven places in the NRL Power Rankings, while back-to-back wins have the Eels and Raiders making strides as well. Details:
A drubbing at the hands of the Panthers had left the Sea Eagles languishing in 13th spot after Round 6, but the last-up victory, coupled with some movement around them, has Anthony Seibold's men as this week's biggest movers.
Joining them as the aggressive risers ahead of Round 8 are the Eels and Raiders, who are each up five places on the back of consecutive wins over the past fortnight. A 26-point win over the Bulldogs last week has Parramatta 7th, while the Raiders are 10th after edging past the Dragons by six, with the Eels now sitting five spots higher than their ladder position of 12th.
That is the equal biggest gap between Power Rankings standing and ladder position this week, alongside the Roosters . After temporarily surrendering top spot following their Round 6 loss to the Raiders, the Broncos' dominant 43-26 win over the Titans saw them bounce straight back, with the Storm plummeting from 1st to 8th after losing to the Sea Eagles.
