Storming the field at a college football game isn’t unheard of, but rarely is a possum the culprit of this sports tradition.
But that was the case Thursday night at the end of the first quarter between Texas Tech and TCU at Jones AT&T Stadium, when a possum scampered across the field before being dragged out by stadium staff.The stadium staff captured the possum with a snare pole and pull it off the field.
There was a Possum on the field at the Texas Tech-TCU game, look how mad he was when they finally grabbed him out 😆 While the animal may have gotten an unceremonious boot from the stadium, it did get a friendly pet from Texas Tech president Lawrence Schovanec, according to photojournalist Annie Rice.While it may be the first time in recent memory that a possum has stormed the field at a football game, they aren’t exactly unfamiliar with football stadiums. The Browns were on a 19-game winless streak at the time and desperately needed a win.
