Sabah recorded 328 Covid-19 cases Saturday, a decrease from 354 the day earlier. However, the positivity rate increased from 12.64 per cent to nearly 14 per cent, said Sabah’s Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun.
Kota Kinabalu: “The decrease in cases does not reflect the ongoing situation. The numbers rise and fall in many districts, however the rate of transmission is still worrying. “The drastic change in the number of infections almost every day in some districts is difficult to predict. The public’s attitude towards standard operating procedure compliance greatly affects daily statistics. “Among them is the need to update MySejahtera information after doing a self-test and being found positive.
He added that the lower number of cases is due to a lower number of test samples, which was 2,560 compared to 2,999 the day before. Kota Kinabalu topped the list with 96 cases, followed by Penampang , Sandakan , Putatan , Tawau , Tuaran and Papar . Overall, Masidi said seven districts recorded double-digit figures, 15 recorded single-digit numbers while five did not record any new infections.
