Writers and producers could soon reach an agreement to end the writers strike, according to sources, following a meeting with top Hollywood executives.

The WGA and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers , which represents Walt Disney, Netflix and other media companies, held talks for the first time in about a month. The meeting was attended by Disney CEO Bob Iger and Netflix Co-CEO Ted Sarandos, among others, according to a source close to the negotiations.This is the first time the two parties have released a joint statement in this strike cycle, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
