The Port Dickson Army Museum has started charging admission fees for the first time since its opening in 2005. For almost 20 years, visitors have been able to explore the museum for free. However, Bernama reported that the state government recommended introducing a reasonable entrance fee to help cover the museum's maintenance costs. According to the museum's Facebook page, the rates were implemented starting January 1, 2025.
For Malaysian citizens, adults need to pay RM2, while senior citizens, people with disabilities (OKU), and children aged 7 to 12 are charged RM1. Children under 6 years old can enter for free. For non-Malaysian citizens, entry fees for adults and children aged 7 to 12 are priced at RM5 and RM2, respectively. Similar to Malaysian citizens, children under 6 years old can enter for free. This impressive museum, under the stewardship of the Malaysian Royal Forces, offers a comprehensive look at the nation's military history, from pre-independence to the present day. With nine galleries showcasing artifacts, uniforms, and weapons from various eras, the museum also features an audio-visual hall, where visitors can delve deeper into specific historical events, local resistance fighters, and military campaigns
