There are plenty of ways for a leader to gain the people’s trust, and Johor’s MB does it by constantly going out for field visits to identify ongoing problems while looking for solutions.

The flat is about 40 years old and it shelters 4,089 residents. The age of the building explains why the residents in the place are dealing with poor electrical wiring and plumbing system on a daily basis. As if the heatwave is not bad enough, the water access which may be affected by the plumbing system is making things worse and tougher for the residents.

The flat has been categorised as a decrepit flat in the state, and the Sultan of Johor had also voiced out his disappointment towards the condition. 2 weeks ago, it was reported that the Sultan of Johor had asked the state government to intervene and take necessary steps to improve the condition of the flat.

“I was born here and I stayed here till I was 10. A lot of foreigners rent this place and the condition has since deteriorated.”
