Bennett Igweh, the federal capital territory (FCT) commissioner of police, has called on residents not to partake in the nationwide protest.

Bennett Igweh, the commissioner of police in the federal capital territory , says residents of the nation’s capital should avoid being part of the planned nationwide protest.

Speaking with journalists in Abuja on Monday, Igweh urged residents not to participate in any protest, noting that the police have worked hard to ensure safety in the FCT. “We have fought those people outside Abuja. We have been to Kaduna, Nasarawa, and Niger to fight criminals so that you can be safe. I have lost men.

“If you check, the government has provided good roads. Whether it’s from the minister of FCT or the president, check the streets in FCT, from Wuse to anywhere you can check, even in the hinterlands,” he said.
