Police are calling for information from the public after a 17-year-old boy was briefly abducted in the beachside Adelaide suburb of Somerton Park.
Police say a 17-year-old boy was briefly abducted in the beachside Adelaide suburb of Somerton Park last night.A 17-year-old boy was pushed into a car after walking along the Esplanade at Somerton ParkAccording to police, the teenager was walking along the Esplanade near Yarrum Grove when a white sedan containing four men stopped alongside him.Two of the men then got out of the rear of the vehicle and "forcibly pushed" the teenager into the back seat.
The car then drove for about two minutes before getting stuck in traffic at the roundabout at the corner of Partridge Street and Pier Street in nearby Glenelg.None of the men spoke to the boy while he was in the car.He described one of the men as in his late 30s to early 40s, with a solid build, 190 centimetres tall and with a dark but greying beard.A second man was in his 30s, with a muscular build, about 180cm tall and wearing an orange T-shirt and white beanie.
"We are treating this as a genuine abduction and we will continue to investigate it as such," he said.
