Brig. Gen. Percival Rumbaoa, acting Police Regional Office 2 director, said Christmas in Region 2 or Cagayan Valley was generally peaceful.

CAMP Adduru, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan –

Rumbaoa urged police in the region to forge close ties with the community to effectively manage crime reporting and guarantee the community’s safety and security. “The efforts of the men and women of PRO 2 to help ensure the safety of the community manifest continuous peace and order management and resulted in no untoward incident of indiscriminate firing among others this season of Christmas,” Rumbaoa added.

A total of 4,681 police officers were deployed for “Ligtas Paskuhan 2022” in various churches, transportation hubs, main thoroughfares, commercial districts, and other places of convergence in Region 2.
