GEORGE TOWN: A police report has been lodged against a Facebook user over a post that allegedly slandered Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow.
Chow's political secretary Teh Lai Heng lodged the report on Thursday at the George Town police district headquarters in Jalan Patani.
"I would like to state here that the Chief Minister or the DAP has never made any statement as stated by the 'Eunos Khai' facebook account at any time. Teh, who is also Komtar assemblyman, urged the police and authorities to take immediate action under Section 233 of the Multimedia and Communications Act 1998 and Section 499, Section 500 and Section 505 and Section 505 of the Penal Code.
