The lawyer of a man accused of murdering two campers in Victoria has outlined other poteiental causes of their death after the pilot pleaded not guilty. 9News

Russell Hill and Carol Clay were reported missing after going camping at a remote site in the Wonnangatta Valley area of the Victorian Alps in March 2020.Lynn's barrister Dermot Dann outlined one scenario officers considered, including that Hill had grabbed Lynn's shotgun.

Victoria Police forensic officer Mark Gellatly confirmed that was one scenario considered and evidence found on Hill's car was possibly connected with that. Possible blood staining and "other biological material" were also detected on a canopy on the passenger side of Hill's car during a later examination, Gellatly said."That's right. It's a possible explanation at this point," Gellatly replied.

For about an hour she and homicide squad detective Brett Florence spoke to Lynn in the kitchen of his Caroline Springs home about his movements the day after Hill and Clay were allegedly murdered.
