Multiple people have been taken to hospital and two crime scenes set up after police rushed to the area at about 4am.

9News understands two crime scenes have been set up on the corner of Goulburn Street and Pitt Street.

One is in front of a strip of restaurants, and the other is on the opposite side of the road, in front of a busy pub.Police were called to the CBD location at about 4am.One man sustained a superficial cut to his neck, while the other man and woman sustained facial injuries.Three people in their 20s were found with injuries.

The two men were arrested and are under police guard at St Vincent's and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.Anybody with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
