THE boyish-faced Syed Hussien Syed Abdullah has captured public attention with his ability to speak Mandarin.
GOMBAK : Bukit Aman conducted inspections at five double-storey houses believed to be where Global Ikhwan Services and Business Holdings members were residing, in Bandar Tasik Puteri , Rawang early Saturday morning.More than 50 police personnel, along with Welfare Department personnel, were involved in the operation, codenamed Ops Global , which started at 5.30am.It is believed the occupants left the houses earlier before the inspections.
A neighbour, who refused to be named, said he often saw children living in one of the inspected homes, playing in a nearby playground."However, they have not been seen since Thursday . Besides inspections by Bukit Aman, other raids and inspections were conducted by state police officers and personnel on Saturday.
They were detained by Bukit Aman CID at about 5.40am following raids on four residential units at Jalan Imbi.On Wednesday, police recorded the statements of 740 individuals as part of the investigation on GISB.
