The Taraba police command has confirmed the death of Abdulmutalib Jankada, a 48-year-old traditional ruler of Sansani chiefdom in the Gassol LGA of the state., police spokesperson, said the third-class traditional ruler was shot dead by gunmen who invaded his palace on Thursday.
He said the police have launched an investigation into the incident and officers of the command have been deployed to arrest the perpetrators. “It has been confirmed that the third-class traditional ruler was killed at his palace last night. The command has deployed men to investigate the matter and bring perpetrators to justice,” the spokesperson told TheCable.Kwache Gambo, a deputy superintendent of police, added that the incident happened at about 10 p.m.
