The Jigawa State Police Command said it has foiled an attempted armed robbery by unidentified people in Kazaure Local Government Area of the state.
The command in a statement on Sunday by its Assistant Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Abubakar Isah said the incident occurred on Friday, 29th September, 2023.
“On 29th September, 2023 at about 0330 hrs, a distress call was received at Kazaure Police Station that some hoodlums suspected to be armed robbers were seen jumping over the barbed wire into the house of one Bello Aliyu of Yanmakada quarters, Kazaure LGA. “Upon receiving the report, a patrol team attached to the Kazaure Division swiftly rushed to the scene, on sighting the policemen, the hoodlums took to their heels where the said Bello Aliyu was met tied with a rope”.
He added “At about 0230hrs four unknown persons flinched into his compound, forcefully collected his car key “A Mercedes Benz with registration number BWA 447 DA” and loaded some household properties inside the said vehicle.
