The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has confirmed the arrest of one Bristol Tamunobiefiri, popularly known as PIDOM.

In a statement on Friday, Muyiwa Adejobi, the force spokesperson, said the whistleblower was arrested on August 5 in his hotel room in Rivers. He said PIDOM was arrested for “committing serious offences that undermine the integrity of government operations”.“There are several allegations levelled against the suspect, including unlawful possession, leakages of classified documents, cyber-related offences, and others,” the statement reads.A peek at PIDOM’s X feed shows that he supported the nationwide #EndBadGovernance protest against economic hardship.
