NEW: Police have identified the body of a man who was pulled from a Glendale canal yesterday. Officials deemed his death a homicide and are offering a reward for any information into this incident.
GLENDALE, AZ — Police are asking for the public's help after a body that was pulled from a Glendale canal Monday was determined to be a homicide.
Just before 7:30 a.m. Monday, police were called to the area near 75th Avenue and Bethany Home Road for reports of a person in the water. When they arrived they located a person, later identified by police as 27-year-old Grayson Hancotte, who was dead in the canal and they were able to pull the body out of the water.
Detectives determined that Hancotte died as a result of a homicide. Details surrounding how Hancotte died were not released.Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to contact Glendale police or Silent Witness at 480-948-6377 with a potential $1,000 reward being offered.
