PETALING JAYA: The police arrested a man who was carrying ganja and syabu in the basket of his motorcycle when he was stopped in Hulu Selangor.
District police chief Supt Arshad Kamaruddin said the 41-year-old man was stopped for inspection at around 3.30pm on Monday .
"We found a black pouch inside his motorcycle basket with four small packets containing what we suspected was ganja and syabu. The packets containing ganja weighed about 12.6g while those containing syabu weighed about 2.8g," he said. Supt Arshad said the man had 12 criminal records and is wanted in Bandar Baru Salak Tinggi for a drug offence.Meanwhile, a 30-year-old man fashioned a tool out of double-sided tape to steal money from the donation box of a surau in Gombak.Gombak OCPD Asst Comm Arifai Tarawe said the man was seen inserting double-sided tape into the donation box through a hole.
"He was detained and handed over to the police. A roll of double-sided tape and RM141 were found on him," he said. ACP Arifai the unemployed man had seven criminal records and was arrested for trespassing and defying the MCO.
