Police in Ampang Jaya have arrested seven men and one woman suspected of breaking into an office on December 14th, causing an estimated loss of RM150,000. The suspects, aged 17 to 41, were apprehended in several raids around the Klang Valley between December 17th and yesterday. Police discovered laptops, mobile phones, cameras, helmets, RM90,000 in cash, and some foreign currency missing from the office. Police investigations revealed that the group, believed to be active for the past three months, targeted premises and vehicles parked outside homes, often committing the crimes in the early morning. Seven of the suspects have between two and 24 previous criminal and drug offenses, including outstanding warrants. Five suspects were released on police bail while three others were remanded from yesterday until January 6th to assist in the investigation under Section 457 of the Penal Code.
