The Commissioner of Police in Plateau State Mr. Olugbemiga Emmanuel Adesina disclosed that 118 cultists planning to mark their 7/7 day celebration in Jos on Sunday were arrested.
The police boss during a press briefing, said that immediately after the information was leaked to the command, they quickly embarked on combing every nook and cranny of the state. “From yesterday till today, the command did not allow them to operate anywhere. That is why there is no story of the cultists operating anywhere in Plateau State. We cannot bring the arrested 118 cultist suspects here today for parade for members of the press because they were picked up from different locations.”
Adesina appealed to the public to provide the police with useful information to enable security agencies to give the people of the state security protection.
