Got a dual-motor Polestar 2 EV? Want some more power? It's a click or two away.
Polestar is getting in on the downloadable-power-upgrade game, much like Mercedes-Benz recently did , with an over-the-air update that will add 68 hp and 15 lb-ft of torque to. Of course, this isn't free—owners need to pony up $1,195 for the upgrade, but Polestar insists this is a one-time charge; it won't be an annual subscription, as Mercedes is requiring, at least for now.
Adding the power is easy as can be, and given how it's installed over the air, owners needn't physically visit a dealership or service center to enjoy it.
