After the Ryan Reynolds action comedy “Pokémon: Detective Pikachu” starts arriving in theaters worldwide from May, 1998’s “Pokémon: The First Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back” is receiving a re-release in Japan. The remake was first announced via an end-credit scene for July 2018’s “Pokémon the Movie: The Power of Us.”
