This came after LTO chief Jay Art Tugade on Wednesday warned of another possible shortage in license plates by June and July, depending on whether the Department of Transportation will be able to successfully procure the items.This is on top of the shortage in driver’s licenses that affects a total of 5.2 million motorists.To ease the situation, the agency had implemented the use of temporary licenses and the authorization of makeshift plates.
