Also, an update on where we stand with rainfall deficits and drought in the area.
Enjoying a very fall-like October day today? Hopefully the gusty breezes and temperatures haven’t been too chilling. We should get a bit warmer Monday, and less breezy. There are minor chances of showers in the short term, as well. See below for details on our latest rainfall deficit and drought situation.
West and southwest breezes calm a bit, to about 5 to 10 mph. We’re still in for a below-average chill tonight, with low temperatures generally in the mid-40s. Blanket and sweater weather! Skies may be partly cloudy in the evening and clearer after midnight. An early jacket is warranted but sunshine and lower southwesterly breezes near 15 mph assist in real and perceived warming. Afternoon temperatures top out in the mid-60s for the most part.
Severe “D2” drought conditions may continue until we can see a persistently lower rainfall deficit. As you may have seen induring our weekly Sunset Live Q&A when we cover all the weather highlights you might want for the week ahead. Tune in at 6:39 p.m.
