Justin Trudeau akan melantik penyiasat khas untuk menyiasat dakwaan campur tangan China dalam pilihan raya Kanada.
Pada masa sama, beliau turut mengarahkan siasatan berasingan dilakukan terhadap dakwaan campur tangan negara luar.
Selain itu, Trudeau berkata, beliau sudah mengarahkan ahli Parlimen dalam jawatankuasa keselamatan negara untuk menjalankan siasatan berhubung dakwaan campur tangan dalam pilihan raya negara lain. Bagaimanapun, China menafikan semua dakwaan campur tangan itu dan menegaskan Beijing tidak sama sekali berminat untuk mencampuri hal ehwal dalaman Kanada.
