Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim recently announced the “Madani Economy: Empowering the People” framework for the country’s economic direction. As it turns out, the direction involves distributing RM100 in e-wallet credit to all adults in Malaysia!Anwar, who is also the Finance Minister, added that the aid, costing the government RM1 billion, is expected to benefit roughly 10 million people in the B40 and M40 income category.

” Anwar reportedly said. He further clarified that those eligible for the programme are Malaysian citizens aged 21 and above, and earning RM100,000 and below annually. Additionally, a RM300 special cash aid will be given to civil servants Grade 56 and below, while government pensioners, including army veterans, will be given RM200 in aid. Anwar later clarified that these are temporary measures as the government works on studying adjustments to civil servants’ salaries.The “Madani Economy” aims to empower the government, NGOs, the private sector and Malaysians, Anwar explained.
